Graham Abraham is an awarded Australian Wildlife and Cultural Heritage Artist. His interests include the wildlife of Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, endangered species, natural and environmental bio-diversity, cultural heritage, history and contemporary Australian landscape painting. Graham’s artistic style might be generally referred to as ‘modern realist’ however he is also fascinated by contemporary forms of painting which include abstract approaches to Australian landscape and wildlife art.

Some of Graham’s work promotes and supports the Conservation of Australia’s threatened and endangered species, habitats and environments. Graham has had an invitation from Andy Reimanis, Project Manager of the Caldera Art Awards to make an early submission of his 2010 entry, Wompoo fruit doves deep in the Nightcap Range for showcasing the work of professional wildlife artists to corporate business and government. Graham and family will be attending the Big Scrub Rainforest Day, Alstonville, New South Wales 5 September 2010.
Graham has been offered a commission to produce a large painting for Peter Poropat, a researcher of rainforest trees.
A family trip has been planned to Carnarvon Gorge National Park, 25 September – 5 October 2010.
Graham attended a rewarding Australian Business Arts Foundation AbaF Seminar on 18 August 2010.
Graham has been presented with another International Wildlife in Art Award at the 2010 Queensland Wildlife Artists’ Society exhibition, Logan Regional Art Gallery, 29 June – 31 July.

Graham is upgrading his photographic equipment to the latest Canon 550D 18MP camera and a 150mm–500mm Sigma lense. This will improve the quality of his wildlife photography and enable him to produce first-class enlargements and high definition video.

2010 is the United Nations International Year of Biodiversity, www.cbd.int. Next year Graham is hoping to be able to broaden his subject matter for painting to international subjects.
